Yankee veteran slugger John Tompkins successfully underwent surgery on his right leg today at Wm. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. Tompkins is a 3rd year player with the Miracle League of Michigan. JT said "I'm glad it's over. I wish I could finish the season with my team. I'll take this time to work on my skills and look forward to coming back strong next season". The Yankees are having their best season since joining The Miracle League.
